Vineyard Designate Wines

We hand harvest and hand craft our wines to bring out the very best of each single vineyard. We use only French oak and select coopers and forests that compliment the natural qualities of the fruit as determined by us and our consulting winemaker, Gavin Sharrocks.

The sorting and the punchdowns are all by hand. Fruit is king. No more than one ton of grapes become wine at any one time. Our whole family is involved.

The grapes from the hillside La Cruz site ripened evenly and hung on the vines extra long in 2014 for added flavor. We were literally the last winery to harvest our fruit from this site.

"Tina Duff Taylor, an Omaha native, and her husband met in the news business and have been producing elegant Pinot Noirs under the Fourth Estate label since 2008. Winemaker Eric Buffington produced this intensely aromatic Pinot Noir with medium weight, full of sweet red fruit and lingering vanilla and cedar wood."
~ Jesse Becker, master sommelier, writing about our 2009 La Cruz Pinot Noir in the Omaha World-Herald

"I have long believed that a good Pinot at an affordable price, especially one from California, does not exist. Well, I was proven wrong recently when I was introduced to Fourth Estate Pinots..."
