Vineyards: We source from two vineyards on the Dutton Ranch property — Sullivan Vineyard, known for abundant fruit, and Mill Station Vineyard, known for minerality and structure. Both elements are present in the finished wine.

Fermentation and Aging: Fermentation regime featured 100 percent malolactic conversion. Barrel aged for 14 months in 100% French oak, 50% of which was new (Boutes).

The wine features appealing notes of grapefruit and pear. Balanced acidity leaves room for this Dutton Ranch Chardonnay to evolve in the bottle.

Vintage characteristics:
The 2014 vintage produced low yields and high quality in Chardonnay grown in the Russian River Valley. Favorable conditions leading up to harvest allowed the grapes to ripen without excessive heat.
