Winemaker's Notes:
The La Tache and Swan clones produce rich fruit and floral notes underpinned by the minerality and structure of the La Cruz terroir. The wine has power and finesse and is being praised by retailers and others as the best Pinot Noir Fourth Estate has produced to date.

Vintage characteristics:
2012 is being hailed as the best vintage in a decade for Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley appellations. Ideal conditions leading up to harvest allowed the grapes to ripen evenly, without moisture or heat spikes.
