Winemaker's Notes:
The La Tache and Swan clones produce rich fruit and floral notes underpinned by the minerality and structure of the La Cruz terroir. Black cherry, raspberry and lilac flavors predominate now in a complex, evolving wine with the potential to last for years.

Vintage characteristics:
2009 was Northern California's best Pinot Noir vintage in seven years. A long, consistent growing season evenly ripened the fruit and produced tight clusters of tiny grapes. Per-acre yields were low, about 1.8 tons to the acre, producing fruit and a finished wine with dark color and intense aromas and flavors.
